Product design.
We start with a question about how something works, then sketch different answers before we settle on an interface.

[ 01 / OUR PRACTICE ]
Inside the lab.
Software engineering.
We build for mobile and the web. Design and engineering happen together, from the first prototype through release.
Applied research.
We test new ideas in small prototypes. Some become products; others teach us what to try next.
[ 02 / OUR ETHOS ]
What we build for.
Joy Your Life is the idea behind our name. Every product we make can have a different purpose. These are the principles they share.
- Leave room for curiosity.
- We give unfamiliar ideas time to develop, and change our minds when an experiment surprises us.
- Respect your attention.
- If a task can take one step instead of three, we make it one. Your time is yours to spend.
- Keep the choices yours.
- People should understand what our software is doing and have the freedom to change their minds.
